Happy Monday, besties! It's officially the first FULL week of fall and I couldn't be more excited! I feel like I always say the newest season is my favorite but I just can't help it! The beginning of each season brings on a whole new set of favorites that I've looked forward to year round. This fall, I'm extra excited for a few different reasons that otherwise wouldn't apply to me in other years but Shawn and I are extra excited because we get to plan our baby's gender reveal party. Eek! I seriously can't wait to find out if we're having a beautiful baby girl or boy!! In any case, fall is always such a wonderful time of year. Today I want to share 10 different ways to get cozy, warm, and comfy this fall. Because at the end of the day, isn't that exactly what fall is all about?
One. Three words. Pumpkin spice latte. Get your hands on this fall drink that is coveted and loved by many. I unfortunately can't have caffeine but I actually found a GREAT recipe that's caffeine free and REALLY good!
Two. Cuddle up on the couch with the coziest blanket you can find and watch your favorite movie. I just recently got my hands on The Notebook and can't wait to have one of those "can't help but to cry because it's just so romantic" moments. Pregnancy hormones are sure to help with this one! Haha! Other favorite movies to watch this time of year: Serendipity (on Netflix) and Breakfast at Tiffany's.
Three. Now is the time to layer up! That means it's time to pull out those cozy sweaters and plaid scarves out of the closet!
Four. SOUP. I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I've been having soup for like four months straight, and just now is it actually appropriate to make & eat all the soup to my hearts content. Reason why I've been having soup for four months straight? Two words, pregnancy cravings!! Among my favorites are chicken noodle soup, lentil soup, and kale-white bean soup. Seriously so good!!
Five. Turn on that oven! Now is the perfect time to perfect those baking skills. Apple pie, pumpkin pie, or even a yummy galette. Dessert baking options are endless this time of year!
Six. Cozy vibes always begin when you light up a nice candle. I've been using an oil diffuser lately, but I'm so excited to light up my candles and create some cozy room vibes in my home.
Seven. Turn on that fireplace! Is there anything more warm and cozy than that? Maybe include some marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers? I know you know where I'm going with this.
Eight. Decorate your space for fall. Nothing yells cozy for fall more than bringing those fall vibes indoors. Create a space that is inviting and warm. Place a cute blanket on your couch, add a candle to your coffee table, and don't forget the decorative pumpkins!
Nine. You have to go out sometime right? Put on that blanket scarf, your most festive fall outfit, and go pumpkin picking!
Ten. One of my favorite past times in any season is to get lost in a good book. During fall, I love making myself a hot cup of tea, getting in my pjs and a warm pair of socks, jumping in bed, and reading my book. One of the coziest and warmest past times there ever was!
So there you have it, 10 different ways to cozy up for fall. I honestly cannot believe how fast time flies. I feel like we just celebrated New Year's earlier this year. I'm learning to enjoy every moment, no matter how small it may seem. I can only imagine how fast time is going to pass by in the future! As of now, I'm excited to spend fall doing all the things I love, including every one of the above!
Thank you so much for taking a moment of your day to stop by. Wishing you a wonderful first week of fall ahead.
