I don't know about you, but I am absolutely ecstatic it's officially Christmas season!! I just love the holidays as much as the next person! It's time for hot cocoa topped with marshmallows, holiday movies on repeat, and spreading holiday cheer ALL DAY EVERY DAY. Unfortunately, holiday season is also well known for being just a little stressful. Today I'm sharing three different ways to forgo holiday stress to maximize the joy and cheer that encases what this wonderful season is truly all about. Keep reading to learn how I like to keep stress at bay during the holidays!

1. Make lists. Make lists for everything! Planning everything in advance is one of the ways I like to live life! It's super useful in everyday life, but during the holidays... it's a serious life changer! It just makes everything ten times easier to handle. I like to make lists for everything... how many guests will be coming for dinner? What's on the menu? Grocery list, Christmas gift list, and always always at the beginning of the day everyday I make a to-do list! Crossing things off my to-do list daily helps me stay on track and this time of year, making lists for everything keeps me organized and helps avoid the headaches of trying to remember so much.
2. Self-Care. I cannot begin to tell you how important self-care truly is, specially during such a busy time of year. It's easy to stay cheerful, happy, and full of holiday spirit when you take time to take care of yourself. My favorite ways to self-care? Easy! There's so many! Bubble baths are great, turn your phone off and watch your fave movie, aromatherapy i.e: diffuse some natural oils (my current favorite blend is from Art Naturals- lavender, sweet orange, and rosemary) or light a natural soy wax candle in a lovely scent, pamper yourself with a mani-pedi, exfoliate your skin and apply your favorite mask, pop some popcorn and read a book. Taking a couple of minutes from your day to relax will put you in a better mood and keep those grinch vibes away this holiday season, guaranteed.
3. Stay active. One of my favorite ways to de-stress during the holidays and basically year round is to stay active and eat healthy. I always feel so much better when I eat healthy throughout the day and leave any worry, anxiety, or stress on the workout floor. Just remember to keep up those exercises, take your vitamins, and eat healthy to help you feel your best during the holidays.
I'm convinced that everyone needs to practice aromatherapy this holiday season. It's one of my all time favorite ways to destress at the end of a long day.
