H A P P Y M O N D A Y , G A L P A L S !
I hope your weekend was a wonderful one! Today, I'm sharing five fun snapshots I took this weekend..
This rose bush stopped me right in my tracks when I came across it. Isn't it beautiful? I'm not sure what type of roses these are but my best guess is that they're some type of garden rose. They're different than the typical red rose you can find at your local Trader Joe's or Wholefoods Market, making them a little more magical in my personal opinion. This pale pink shade is incredibly beautiful and the multitude of petals in one single bloom are equally stunning.
Have you seen that Instagram just released new filters for their stories? Raise your hand if you think Snapchat's filters are just a little bit cuter? 🙋🏻 This kitty cat filter is actually my favorite of them all! I actually spent part of my Saturday afternoon with blogger bestie, Kris, from Mom Jeans & Mimosas shooting an ootd that we'll be sharing this week on both of our blogs. You already know I had to pull out my fave filter for a little cat selfie! 🐱
Peony season is finally here! My heart is so happy right now. I picked up a bouquet of my favorite flowers this weekend and this is the first one of the bunch that bloomed. As soon as I brought them home, I snipped about an inch off the bottom and placed them in fresh water with a bit of flower food. My secret to longer lasting flowers? Place them in the fridge. I always do this when I know I'm going to use them as props for photos later on in the week. It keeps them fresh and helps them last longer.
Do you believe in beautiful messes? I stopped by my favorite flower shop called Petals & Pop in Seal Beach this weekend and every time I visit, I'm always mesmerized. They have a carefully curated selection of beautiful tablescape, homeware, and garden products. They also offer uniquely designed hand-tied floral bouquets that make me swoon. I can spend all afternoon looking at all the pretty details! P.S. Just how cute are those rosé patches?
I'm trying to get into a habit of creating a clean desk area before beginning the new week. I don't know if it's just me or not, but every time I go and set up for a photoshoot my entire office looks like a mess by the time I'm done. Ha! At least I can't complain that I'm not inspired! But I've found that keeping my office and desk space organized keeps me inspired and feeling like I'm ready to take on the week ahead!
And, that's all! Now that I look back, florals were a big part of my weekend and I can't be mad about it. Now I'm off to work on some exciting projects that I'll be sharing more about soon. Stay tuned!
Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!
