A Fall Celebration

There's something so magical about fall. When the leaves start to fall from the branches, the chill in the air becomes a little crisper, and the way the leaves sound beneath your feet with each step you take. It brings me such joy to be able to take a moment to stop the rush of the every day to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season.

I've had the idea for this particular post for quite some time now. A few years ago, when I first went on Instagram, I began following an account of a mom and her two daughters. I quickly became inspired by this lady. She homeschools her girls and they are always outdoors, exploring and learning. I remember browsing through her feed and seeing photo after photo of works of art created by things they found outdoors. There were photos of beautiful intricate pieces like capes, crowns, and mandalas, besides other things. I always found it so inspiring how beautiful these works of art were and I found joy in watching them create piece after piece of art. Through the photos they post on Instagram, it is apparent how much contentment they find in spending time outdoors. They see true beauty in nature, something that sometimes we completely overlook. So the inspiration for this crown leaf I made and am wearing today is inspired from her direct love and appreciation with nature and mother earth.

To style the leaf crown, I knew I wanted a white dress with lace, something romantic and ethereal. Originally, I envisioned something long and bohemian but when I went out to look for something that would work with the leaf crown, this dress stopped me in my tracks. The oversized lace, sheer long sleeves, and fit and flare style.. it is so feminine, romantic, and dreamy. I picked it up in my size and the rest is history.

I created this look to celebrate nature and the season of fall. I encourage you to stop for a second this week and take a moment to appreciate all of the sights and sounds of the season. It truly is so magical and spectacular.

Thank you so much for reading,
