April 2016 Recap
Hello there! It's that time of month again, when the month is coming to a close and I get to write one of my favorite posts. Yay! Today, I'm recapping the month of April. I'm sharing things that caught my eye, what I've been working on, and snippets of my life that brought me joy and happiness this past month. Recently, I've felt like time goes by so quickly so I truly am so grateful to be able to document and share my daily inspirations and things I'm passionate about with you. Let's get started:
Flowers bring me so much joy, they brighten up my space and always make me smile. I had so many flowers at the beginning of the month that I had to find some way to document it. Tulips have always been some of my favorite, so when I saw that Trader Joe's had these available, I didn't think twice about picking up a bunch. The roses came from my garden, aren't they beautiful? And the daffodils were one of those impulse buys, I mean they were only $1.50 at Trader Joe's, how could I say no? ;)
White denim has always been one of my spring/summer staples, so I couldn't wait to bring them out to style them. I decided to keep the tones soft and feminine with light hues. I also share how to wear white denim for spring in that blogpost, click here to read.
I don't think there will ever be a shortage of flowers on my Instagram. These are just snapshots of a few favorite Instagram posts of the month and I think it's safe to say that florals are kind of my thing. If you don't follow me on Instagram but would like to, click here to go my profile.
I went bold and wore a bright cobalt blue dress this month but I still kept the outfit looking balanced and harmonious by adding neutral pieces. See more of this look when you click here.
These are some more photos featured on my Instagram. Delicate and dainty with a touch of flower power. ;)
I shared an acai smoothie recipe on the blog this month and I've been obsessed with it. I actually started adding some frozen strawberries to the base recipe and it is amazing! It's perfect as a quick refresher or midday pick me up. Click here if you'd like to see my four (now five) ingredient acai smoothie recipe.
I shared five spring essentials that I believe are must haves for every lovely girl this spring season. Among the collection of items are fresh blooms (of course!) and a ball cap. Click here to see what else made my list.
It was in the 80s in SoCal one weekend in April, so my husband and I took full advantage and spent a full day at Manhattan Beach. It was incredible!
A wool hat and light layers are always perfect for warm spring days. This combo was probably my favorite this month. I absolutely loved wearing it because, well if I'm honest, this whole outfit was just so comfy! Click here to see more of these spring time layers.
Playing with flowers has got to be one of my favorite past times. I love being creative and coming up with visually pleasing photographs to share with the blogging community on Instagram. Here are a couple of pretty photos I shared this month.
Pink packages on my doorstep are always welcomed. Every month, I receive one from Ipsy and I am never disappointed. For $10, I get to try out new beauty and makeup products that I probably otherwise wouldn't have ever tried. I posted an unboxing (all the products are in that tie-dyed makeup pouch up top) and shared what I got, click here to see more.
I shared five tips to make every day a productive day. With time going by so quickly and my to-do list growing longer and longer every time I glance at it, I decided to implement these five tips to help me be more productive every day and feel accomplished every night. If you want to learn how I make every day a productive day, feel free to click here.
I have been gravitating towards neutral pieces lately, besides the cobalt blue dress earlier this month, and I absolutely love the simplicity and feel of this look. This lace fit and flare dress fits like a glove and is just perfect for spring. Click here to see more, I also linked a dress that looks very similar to this one and it's less than $30!
Rocksbox is always a nice surprise to come home to. They send three high end pieces of jewelry to your doorstep every month, simply keep what you like and send the rest back. Use code "forallthingsprettyxoxo" to get your first month FREE.
I captioned this photo bell sleeves and books on Instagram. I thoroughly enjoy reading and when I get a spare minute to pick up a book, I'm always game. I love getting lost between the pages and the story, and usually when it's a really good book, I can't ever seem put it down. I recently got a recommendation to read The Night Circus and I can't wait to dive it.
Dainty and feminine bralettes have become more and more popular and for good reason too. They are just too cute and add a touch of feminine charm to any look. I just picked this one up from Victoria's Secret Pink and I absolutely love it. The color compliments my skin tone perfectly and I can't wait to wear it out. I linked 25 of my favorite bralettes in my latest blogpost, click here to see more.
I always enjoy recapping blogposts. I get a chance to take a step back and look at what I've been up to, what I've been working on, and what I've been inspired by. If you made it this far, thank you so much for recapping the month of April with me. I'm definitely looking forward to May, what is that saying April showers bring May flowers? I can't wait to see the blooms I'll encounter next month!! What are you looking forward to in the month of May? Let me know in the comments below.
As always thank you for taking a moment of your day to stop by,
