BIRTHDAY RECAP

Hi, friends! I want to start off by thanking you all so much for your kind comments and birthday wishes on social media this past weekend. I spent the weekend filled with tons of laughs, smiles, and love among my closest friends and family. I also had so much fun anticipating what my husband was planning. It turns out he had this whole elaborate sunset picnic by the beach planned out. He truly is a man after my heart and knows that the beach is my ultimate happy place. Earlier that day, I came home to find him cooking dinner and baking a birthday cake. Cooking AND baking! There were also flowers and a stack of gifts waiting for me, complete with a birthday card that totally made me cry. Tears of happiness, I tell you. I found it so funny that my gifts were wrapped in Christmas paper. To his defense, he said it was all he could find at Target. Haha! I love Christmas and Target, so obviously I totally didn't mind. After reading the card, opening my birthday gifts, and saying thank you over and over again, we packed our dinner and cake to go and headed down to the beach to watch the sunset. It was so romantic and completely laid-back and peaceful. Being able to share dinner with the love of my life while watching the sunset side by side was exactly what makes me a happy girl. It's the little things in life that matter most after all. When it came time to have the birthday cake he baked for me, he cut off slice, pulled out a candle and a lighter and proceeded to light the candle while singing happy birthday. He told me to make a wish and so I made a wish and blew out my candle. It was sheer perfection. Listening to the sound of the waves while watching the sun slowly fade away in the distance was so romantic and a great way to celebrate my birthday. He truly put so much effort into surprising me and making me feel special, and he knows how much I appreciate it. I am so lucky to have someone who truly cares for me and knows me the way he does! I am also so lucky and thankful for you and your constant support. I have a really great feeling about 26 and I can't wait to see what is in store!

Thank you for reading,

XO Karen
