Happy Monday, babes! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! My husband and I drove a few hours up north to Central California on Friday afternoon and spent the weekend visiting his grandparents. They have a gorgeous victorian style home with a few acres of land, cattle, and the most incredible wallpaper in every room. I love spending time up there because it's always so quiet and serene. My favorite part is going outdoors to watch the sunset and then waiting for it to get dark to watch the stars in complete darkness. It's something I don't experience out in the city. There's a multitude of stars in the sky and they're so bright and shiny... it is truly so magical. I love how even the simplest of things, like opening the windows in the morning after waking up is such a different experience than the city as well, all that is visible are green hills and cattle out in the distance. I decided to keep it very casual this weekend, we were in the country after all! A white tee and ripped denim are always winners in my book, they're so versatile! I paired my blue jeans and white tee with my beloved brown ankle boots, an aztec inspired kimono, and my new everyday saddle crossbody bag. It was perfect for a day in the country spending time with loved ones and adventuring our surroundings. Shawn's niece ran out of the house while we were shooting my outfit and jumped into some of the shots. She loved looking back on the photos while I was editing them, she's seven years old and such a cutie. My husband, Shawn, and I love spending time with family and try to spend as much quality time with them as we can. I'm a little sad it went by so quickly but I'm looking forward to the week ahead. It's officially February now and I'm so excited! Anyone else looking forward to Valentine's Day?
Thank you so much for stopping by. How did you spend your weekend?
