Hi besties! Today I want to talk about something that is near and dear to my heart. Feeling comfortable in my own skin is something that I myself have been working on for quite some time and up until now I've finally began feeling at peace with. I guess it began when I was in middle school, my hair was never the same as the other girl's hair, I never had her eyes, or her nose, or her legs, etc. I was always self conscious and didn't have the greatest self esteem. I was incredibly shy and never wanted to be the center of attention because, frankly, I didn't want people to look at me. Now years later, I wish I would have been able to know then what I know now. Now I know that the physical differences between us makes us all beautiful and unique and oh so special. Our qualities and who we are is exactly what make us well, US. Sure, we may not all look like Kim Kardashian, or Beyonce, or Taylor Swift, but that is perfectly okay. Being confident in who we are and being comfortable in our own skin is what makes us beautiful. Lovely qualities that come from the inside like showing others love and kindness, sharing a smile, and seeing on the bright side of things is what brings light to the world. It radiates beauty from the inside out. Accepting yourself for who you are and loving your body for what it is, is so respectable. I'm saying embrace the skin you're in, treat your body with respect and care for it. Eat healthy, drink your water everyday, and ultimately, love yourself for who you are. Don't let the world dictate the way you should look, don't let media or society tell you that you need to look a certain way to be accepted by others. Stay true to you and be the real you, that is true beauty. There is only one YOU in this world and that in itself is so incredible. Embrace the skin you're in, follow those dreams and make them happen. You are a one of a kind, once in a lifetime, gorgeous human being who has so much to offer to this world and you deserve to be happy.
