Hi friends! Recently, I've been coming across lots of Instagram and Pinterest posts regarding capsule wardrobes. Essentially, I learned that a capsule wardrobe is a few go to basic high quality items in your wardrobe that you can mix and match to create different outfits for different events. The first step to having a capsule wardrobe is getting your wardrobe down to 20 pieces with 4-6 pairs of shoes. This is supposed to help you experience more joy within your wardrobe. We have all experienced those mornings when we are rushing out the door with tons of clothes hanging in our closet but nothing to wear, right? A capsule wardrobe helps gets rid of that situation. For some reason, I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe but find it hard to let go of my clothes and just keep 20 pieces. I like having clothing options for different occasions. I am SO guilty of buying several pieces of clothing just because I think they're pretty even though I probably won't wear them until a certain occasion pops up. I know I'm not the only one who has clothing items in my closet that still have the tag on. Am I right? LOL Anyway, the idea of having a capsule wardrobe intrigued me. Although I am not ready to take the plunge and get my wardrobe down to 20 items, I did decide that buying a few go to basics would probably make my life easier in the morning. So, I went to Zara and found three basic slouchy tees that practically go with everything. Black, stripped, and white are neutrals in my book so these will definitely be getting some use. I can't fully give up my wardrobe, but taking one step at a time by adding a few basics to it will definitely help getting dressed in the morning. What are some of your favorite go to clothing items in your wardrobe that make getting dressed in the morning easier for you? Let me know in the comment section down below.
