Hey there gal pals! Time flies when you're having fun! And we must be having fun because it's officially the last day of November. What? How? My thoughts exactly. This year has flown by and even though I've made a recap for every single month, I'm still in shock as to where time has gone. However, sharing a recap of the month is something I look forward to because it allows me to look back and see what I worked on and shared in my little corner of the internet. As always, lots of flatlays and a couple of outfits were shared this month, plus a leaf crown for Thanksgiving. Must I say more? Let's get started with November's recap, shall we?
November started off warm here in Southern California. In the spirit of warmer temperatures and sunny days, this fun patterned skirt made it's way out of my closet. Complete with a quarter length sleeve sweater layered under a denim jacket, this quickly became one of my favorite looks this month. See more of this fall ready in a mini look when you click here.
01. Bright white details will always have a special place in my heart. These white pumpkins were supposed to make an appearance on my Thanksgiving table but since we didn't host Thanksgiving at our place, they sadly remained untouched. I'll make sure to save my idea for them and share it next year. 02. Having fresh flowers in my house always brightens my day. Those white roses atop my bar cart looked perfect inside that black and white striped vase. I love how pretty and clean this little space looked earlier this month.
Details and layers for fall are everything. It's starts off chilly in the morning, by lunchtime it's usually way too warm for all those layers you threw on in the morning, and by the time 5 o'clock strikes and the sun begins to set, those layers need to come back on because there's a crispness in the air. Choosing the right layers to wear during fall might be a little tricky, but I shared the secret to layering for fall in this blogpost here.
01. Now that temperatures are beginning to drop, my lips have become a little sensitive. This lip duo from Kaplan MD has been a godsend! It exfoliates and hydrates my lips in three minutes, leaving my pout soft and smooth. 02. I always enjoy going through the hashtag #TuesdayShoesday every Tuesday to see all the shoe inspiration. I took part of it this month and shared my cute lace-up flats that I need to wear a lot more. How cute are they! 03. A political storm hit America this month, so I decided to wear my "Human kindness can better our world" tee from Wakened Apparel. It was the perfect tee to wear after all the recent political events. 04. Cute accessories will always be my favorite. I shared this image on my Instagram this month and everyone loved this pretty wood watch by JORD Wood Watches.
What do you wear when it's ninety degrees in Southern California on a fall day? The answer is simple, a dress if course! This cream dress plus fall appropriate accessories were just perfect for a warmer day in SoCal. These details plus the rest of the look are here in this blogpost.
Taking care of my skin has been a huge priority lately. Making sure I take off all my makeup at night + wearing skin friendly moisturizers in the morning is something that I have been paying closer attention to these days. I was able to try out nuface's new prep-n-glow cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating wipes and they work like a charm to remove makeup at the end of a long day. I've also been enjoying pur-lisse's new and improved BB cream. They extended the range of shades (mine comes in the color medium) and includes SPF, which is always a win in my book. I've been wearing it almost everyday!
This month, I partnered up with Under Armour to share how to be workout chic in a style post where I shared a cute workout look that I picked up at one of their newest locations located at The Outlets At Orange. Being someone that works out five to six times a week, I know how important having cute workout clothes really is. Slipping into cute workout gear instantly motivates me and helps me get excited for my daily workout routine. See more of this workout chic look that I shared in this blogpost here.
Who doesn't like pink bubble mailers delivered to their doorstep filled with all sorts of beauty products? Receiving this Ipsysubscription is always a highlight of my month. I love opening it up and playing with all the new beauty products just so I can share my thoughts with you. This month, I received so many goodies, which I'm sharing in this blogpost. Make sure you to check it out because I'm sharing close ups of the beauty products as well.
Here it is! Fall 2016's leaf crown. I love to get inspired by nature every season to create a crown out of natural materials that compliments the season. This time around, I decided to share my creation just in time for Thanksgiving. This leaf crown is so dreamy, making this blogpost by far my favorite of the month. If you didn't get a chance to see this Thanksgiving crown, click here to see more.
Here are a few more of my favorite captures that I shared on my Instagram this November. Make sure to go and follow me (@forallthingspretty) so you don't miss out on anymore cute snapshots. 01. Thanksgiving wasn't complete without a fresh and natural, barely there makeup look using Pur-lisse's BB cream. 02. This gorgeous skirt comes in the cutest color, is velvet, and has a scalloped hemline. Isn't it gorgeous? I'll be sharing this in a new style post coming to the blog later this week. Stay tuned! 03. Pop-tarts, cozy pajamas, and Netflix. Dare I say more? Gilmore Girls revival was everything I hoped for and more! Anyone else enjoy the four new episodes? 04. Travel friendly skin care is always so convenient when traveling for the holidays. I brought my skin care with me in this cute pouch from Poverty Flats by rian to our trip up to Central Coast California for Thanksgiving. Keeping up with my skincare routine couldn't have been easier! 05. With Thanksgiving comes Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year I shopped early for Christmas gifts and nearly finished crossing every one of them off my list. These cute rose gold makeup brushes by Luxie Beauty were 50% off, making them perfect to pick up for yourself or any makeup loving gal on your Christmas list.
These details from my latest style post are some of my favorite this month. I'm still loving bell sleeves and when you pair them with a cute print like this paisley floral one, no harm can be done. Dainty gold details, ripped denim, a wool hat, and brown ankle booties completed this entire look. See more when you click here.
If you're still here, thank you! I can't believe that's it for November. However, the most wonderful time of the year is upon us, so I'm extra excited to welcome in a new month. Thank you so much for recapping the month of November with me. Here's to new a new month, I already know December is going to be absolutely magical. What are you most looking forward to this upcoming month?
Thank you so much for taking a moment of your day to stop by. See you back here early on Friday morning. I'll be sharing that cute velvet skirt in a new style post. Happy Wednesday!
