September 2016 Recap

Happy Friday! Today's post is one of my favorites of the month. I always love taking a look back at the month to see what it consisted of. September was filled with all things pretty as usual. I started this month a little hesitant, as you know, September welcomed in a new season and with a new season comes change. Change is something that is constant in our day to day life but for some reason I'm always afraid of it. I think it's because I get so comfortable in something (this time being the season of summer) and sometimes it's a little scary doing something new. By something new, I mean creating new season appropriate content. After sitting down for a few hours with paper and pen in hand, I came up with lots of new fall inspired content that I can't wait to share with you in the upcoming weeks. However, before that happens, let's take a look back on September and all it was filled with. ❀️

I wore this pretty white crochet little number from Green Dragon Clothing on Labor Day weekend. It was absolutely the perfect dress to bid farewell to summer. The fringe sleeves are so much fun and give this piece all the boho chic vibes. Paired with some pink wedges and a floppy hat, this look became my favorite very quickly. Going out for walks with my hubby during the weekend is always something I look forward to. When you stumble across the cutest little corners filled with pretty things, it's almost impossible to deny yourself a quick snapshot. I shared both of these photos on my Instagram earlier this month to remember that all things pretty can be found anywhere.

Wearing dresses in the summer comes as second nature, and I also love wearing them during fall! I shared how I like to take a pretty dress, like this one, and make it appropriate for fall in this blogpost.

Left to right. 1. I shared five things I like to keep on my nightstand that go hand in hand with my night routine in this blogpost. 2. With peach season coming to an end, I made sure to stop by the farmer's market one weekend in September to pick up a couple of juicy ripe peaches. 3. A pink lacy bralette, a striped tee, and a unicorn cookie make for a perfect couch lounging session. ✨

Please send ALL the snacks over my way. My desk/office space is coming along quite nicely. I love having my own space to get inspired and create. I'm still trying to figure out if I want a gallery wall in place of the love ballon or white shelves. I just can't make up my mind, what do you think?

I had already shared this dress in this blogpost, but I really wanted to wear it again. It's amazing how changing a few things can totally transform a look and I love this one so much more because of all the textures!

Can you please tell me I'm not the only one who loves popsicles! I always love making my own treats at home and popsicles are among my favorite to make and eat. I shared a really easy four ingredient recipe for these vegan blueberry coconut popsicles on the blog this month and they were a hit. They're so creamy and refreshing (it might be fall now, but the 90+ degree temps here in SoCal make it feel like summer). Click here if you'd like to get the guilt free recipe for these delicious popsicles.

Fresh flowers always seem to brighten my day. These pink snapdragons were definitely my favorite buy of the month!

You know when an entire look is inspired by one piece. This whole look was put together with this adorable stripped blouse in mind. I finally tried the front tie trend and was pleasantly surprised to find that I love it! It emphasizes the waist, which is always a good thing! See more of this look when you click here.

I love curating images and sharing them on my Instagram. Being able to have a creative outlet and sharing that with you means the world to me. I will always be so thankful for having the ability to do that. If you're not currently following me on Instagram and you love all the pretty things like I do, make sure to click here to see my profile and possibly follow along.

Ipsy time is always the best time of the month. I absolutely love coming home to a pretty pink package on my doorstep and always look forward to playing with new makeup and beauty items. This month I loved everything in my bag. I shared the contents + thoughts of my Ipsy glambag this month in this blogpost with individual photos of each item.

Sometimes simplicity is best. A lovely vase filled with blush florals on a clean gold and white bar cart under a cute mirror makes my heart happy. This is a variation of what I see every day right before I leave my home and as soon as I step in the door. Something so simple always seems to lift my spirits instantly, which comes to show that I don't necessarily need to be surrounded by tons of things to make me happy.

September marks For All Things Pretty's blogiversary! Yay! It's been one year since I have started blogging and I've learned so much in these past twelve months. I shared five lessons plus this really pretty dress (that's less than $40!) in this blogpost here.

It may be no secret that I LOVE a nude mani. I mean, it just does no wrong. It matches everything, always look chic, and is perfect (in my opinion) for every season of the year. During the summer months I loved a white mani, but since fall is now upon us I'll be reaching for a pale pink and true nude polish from now on.

I shared this pretty bouquet of pale pink flowers on the blog just a few days ago to dress up your tech. Use it as a wallpaper or lockscreen for your phone or tablet after you download it from this blogpost. Surrounding myself with all things pretty keeps me inspired and always sparks a sense of creativity so I really hope this image brings you a sense of joy every time you reach for your tech.

I still can't believe today is the last day of September. Time sure does fly by when you're having fun. I'm so excited to welcome in a new month. I already know October is going to be incredible! Are you looking forward to a new month? Let me know in the comments down below.

Thank you so much for taking a moment of your day to stop by,
