Today's blogpost is a little different. Less fashion focused and more sentimental. This is one of those days I don't want to forget, so documenting it for future reference because it was oh-so special. The week we were supposed to go on our baby moon, and didn't because of weather conditions (sad face), we stayed home and decided to make the most of it. Early in the year, Shawn and I discovered this hidden gem of a beach a couple of miles away from our home and had been meaning to visit again but life had been so busy we never got a chance to go back. We finally made it back during the week of our baby moon and it was lovely! There's a path from the parking lot that takes you all the way to a cliff overlooking the ocean, after a short walk down several stairs you're there, staring right into the vast of water. This beach is one of our favorites! It's always mildly occupied, has tide pools for the curious ones and rock formations that make for some very interesting beach photos. We arrived later in the afternoon and witnessed the most magical sunset. The blue sky turned purple and pink as the sun went down. It was glorious!

The beach is our happy place, somewhere Shawn and I love to go to relax and recharge. It's almost like it's a part of who we are, we connect with the ocean, the waves, the sun, the sand. We're trying to take it slow these days, doing things that bring us joy in this quiet time of our life before we bring a beautiful baby girl in to the world. We want to teach her to love and be kind to others, to enjoy being in nature and never to be afraid to follow her true passions, to enjoy life, explore the outdoors, and never take anything for granted.

I know I keep saying it, but it's surreal to see how fast time is passing by. I'm enjoying every moment now but I'm also very excited for what the future holds.
Thanks for following along this journey!
