Hey there gal pals! It's officially October! Yay! The beginning of this particular month is always something I look forward to once the new fall season arrives. All the fall festivities planned plus my birthday at the end of the month make it so that I always anticipate this month ahead. I can't wait to share all the special posts planned for October!

Last month, I shared that with a new season comes a bit of a wardrobe change but having to ditch an entire summer wardrobe to go out and buy a new fall one isn't necessarily what I meant. Learning how to take current items in my closet and transforming them for a new season has been something I've really learned to enjoy over the seasons. Although going from summer to fall is a huge change, taking some summer staples and wearing them for fall is always possible to do.

Transitioning from summer to fall is always so exciting. I love summer for the same reasons I love fall, all the outdoor events to participate in, all the yummy eats (bring on pumpkin flavored everything!), and of course so many cute season appropriate looks to wear! Fall fashion is always so much fun because the weather cools down (yes, even here in Southern California) and allows us to wear all the layers, cute wool hats, and the best ankle booties. Layering for fall is probably what I most look forward to during this new season. I love jackets, coats, and my latest obsession? Cozy blankets that can double up as a wrap or a thick scarf. Today, I took a flowy white off the shoulder top (that was in high rotation during those hot Southern California summer months) and paired it with distressed denim. Just a tip, it's really easy to take a pretty top and pair it with your favorite denim to transition it from summer to fall in an instant. I paired this combo with my newest purchase, a pair of brown ankle booties that I found at Nordstrom, a brown wool hat from Target, and a thrifted plaid blanket that looked perfect draped over my shoulders and gives off ALL the fall vibes.

Plaid scarves, ankle booties, and wool hats. Fall fashion has definitely arrived and I couldn't be more excited. What are you most looking forward to wearing this season? Feel free to let me know in the comments down below.

As always, thank you for taking a moment of your day to stop by,
