A Four Ingredient Açaí Smoothie


Hi besties! Happy Wednesday! I'm so glad we're halfway through the week, for some reason, this week has gone by a little too slow for my liking and I'm eagerly awaiting the weekend. Anyone feel the same way? Every time Wednesday rolls around, I feel like I need a little midweek pick me up, whether it be a luscious bath at the end of the day or a healthy treat to keep me going. Today I'm sharing with you a go-to smoothie that helps boost my energy when I'm feeling the midweek slump. This acai smoothie is only four ingredients and filled with lots of health benefits. Acai is a superfruit that contains many antioxidants which are essential to keep your body healthy but I'm sure you already knew that. ;) Recently, acai bowls have become very popular in the coastal regions here in Southern California, I love making my own and decided to try making a yummy smoothie version too. Here's the recipe:  

Four Ingredient Acai Smoothie

- 1 cup of blueberries (I used frozen)
- 1 medium banana
- 3/4 cup of organic acai juice (I bought mine from Costco)
- 1/4 cup of almond milk

Place in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into your favorite glass, add a cute straw and enjoy!

Recently, I've been having a smoothie + a small snack for lunch everyday and this smoothie is perfect for those days when I want something a little sweeter than a typical green juice but with no added sugar. This is just a minimal ingredient smoothie but you can also add other ingredients such a strawberries, a handful of spinach or even some chia seeds for added benefits. Do you have smoothies often?
