A Heartfelt Letter
Dear creative being,
You are so inspired, so hard working, and there is talent flowing through your veins. This past week, I went through a rough patch, I found out an individual had been using my photos as her own and even copied and pasted one of my blogposts from last month and made it seem like her own just a few short days ago. I'm going to be honest and say I felt offended, disheartened, and upset. After talking to a very sweet fellow blogger about the situation, I began to reflect on how amazing the community I stumbled upon on Instagram truly is. Every person I've been in contact with since the beginning is truly incredible. I see so much talent being uploaded day in and day out, photos of whimsical paintings, elaborate drawings, beautiful calligraphy... countless photos of impeccably styled outfits and the wonderful blog posts that come with them. I am in awe of how hard you work, how much time, effort, and creativity is used. Quite honestly, I admire you. I admire every single one of you who has stepped out of your comfort zone to follow your passion. Your goals and dreams are attainable, but you already know that. You work so diligently, day in and day out, always one step closer than the day before. You truly are so inspiring. I want to say my experience this week has made me stronger. I've been blogging for about three and a half months now and I love it so much. I didn't know how much time and effort went into blogging but I appreciate it even more now. My husband has always told me, "If your dreams were so easily attainable, would they still have a great amount of value?" Committing to blogging three times a week didn't come easy for me, but it's what I'm passionate about. I love using this platform to express myself creatively, it allows me to document my personal life and daily inspirations and share them with you! I absolutely love that. I know this isn't the first time creative content has been taken, I've seen quite a few times where creative individuals post about the unfairness that it is, the fact that someone would use your creative outlet and make it seem their own is beyond me. This week I learned to stand up for myself and what I believe in. I learned that among so many talented individuals, we are all unique and that is what makes each and every one of us so beautiful. You are a talented being and I encourage you to keep creating. Keep reaching after your passion, keep practicing, breathing, and living out your talent. Keep creating content, unique, original content that showcases your beautiful strengths. I am so thankful for you and your constant support. You truly warm my heart. Thank you so much for stopping by and reading.
