Blush Moto Jacket

Blush jacket (very similar) | American Eagle jeggings | Dagne Dover purse | New Balance 420s (in grey) | American Eagle sweater (similar)

Why is it that when it's colder and gloomy, casual usually wins? It's been chilly and rainy this past week, so when there was a break in the rain last weekend, Shawn and I took advantage of the weather situation and went out for a walk at the beach to get some drone footage and enjoy the fresh air. (P.S. I'm super excited to share what we've been working on. Soon! I promise.) I opted for a casual look and dressed in denim. Also, can you really go wrong with a blush moto jacket? I've had this blush beauty hanging in my office for well over a month now asking for me to wear it. I'm honestly so in love with it. On its own, a good moto jacket is such a versatile item. It can be styled and worn so many different ways to create distinct looks. It's such a classic piece that I believe everyone should have in their wardrobe. This particular one that I have on comes in the color blush, which makes it even more desirable.

I've always had the notion that a classic leather jacket is a must in every wardrobe. I actually bought a vegan leather jacket a couple of years ago in a darker shade because I've always believed it's a must-have. Unfortunately, I didn't exactly enjoy wearing such a dark piece. Of course, now that I think about it, I usually tend to gravitate towards lighter shades so that totally makes sense. I remember when I first laid my eyes on a pale pink leather jacket, I was shopping at Zara and I was so intrigued. I had never seen a leather jacket in any other color besides black. I didn't initially know what to think of it, so I left it behind and soon thereafter completely regretted it. When I went back to purchase it, it was long gone. I even searched online for that pale pink jacket, but my efforts were of little to no avail. I was so sad! One day, while doing some holiday shopping at Nordstrom, I saw that coveted blush jacket, hanging there in all it's glory. (By the way, does that happen to you too? Finding something you absolutely need when you should be buying a gift for someone else. It always happens to me! #facepalm) Shawn knew exactly how much my heart was set on that jacket and gifted it to me for Christmas. Isn't he the sweetest? The reason why I fell head over heels in love with this jacket is because it's absolutely perfect. I can wear it casually like I did today, with denim, a pair of sneakers, and a cozy knitted sweater or I can dress it up with a pretty dress and a pair of heels. Denim shorts, a loose white tee, and this blush moto jacket? Done and done. A cute skirt, matching blouse, and this pale pink jacket? It totally works too! A good moto jacket is such a versatile piece and if it comes in a color that you're completely smitten with, it makes it even better. This particular jacket is sadly now sold out, but I'll link some of my other faves down below.

Having good classic pieces in your wardrobe that you're completely in love with makes getting dressed in the morning so much easier. If you don't already have a classic leather jacket, I highly encourage you to get one. I prefer this pink one over my black one any day, but they are both so versatile that it's nice to have options. What is one classic piece in your wardrobe that you believe everyone should own? Let me know your fave down below.

Thanks for taking a moment of your day to hangout. See you back here on Friday morning for a brand new post.

Happy Wednesday!
