Happy Monday, gal pals! I hope you're coming back from the weekend refreshed and ready to take on the week ahead. I know I have about a million and one things on my to-do list for the week but after taking some time off this weekend to relax and unwind I feel like I'm ready to tackle just about anything. Have any of you stopped by Target recently? Most of their Christmas merchandise is already out and displayed which is great because this girl LOVES Christmas, but I think we've all forgotten about Thanksgiving and the fact that it's still fall. Now, I don't know where you live, but here in Southern California, fall means it's chilly in the mornings and gradually gets warmer throughout the day. The problem I've been having is that I'll bundle up in the morning and by lunch time I'm heating up. It's definitely not fun, but I think I've found the perfect solution to this little dilemma.

Fall layers! Layers are everything for fall. Of course, I've always known that! But up until now, I always thought layers were excellent to pile on. To my surprise, they're also perfect to slip off once they're not needed anymore. The key to wearing layers, specially in Southern California, is to start off with a strong look and choose to wear classic pieces that look great together. Today, I went with a white blouse and a pair of light wash gray denim. I decided on my current favorite pair of ankle boots and a couple of accessories, like my bracelet and watch combo that I can't seem to put down. Mornings can be quite chilly, so layering a classic blue denim jacket and a wine colored cotton scarf are completely appropriate and totally on trend. I also love that as soon as temperatures begin to pick up, I can slip my scarf right off to reveal a perfectly styled look. If temperatures increase even more, it's completely appropriate to remove the jacket to reveal a pretty blouse underneath too. Dressing for fall can be a little tricky because temperatures tend to fluctuate very easily but starting off with a strong look and adding classic pieces along the way makes dressing for fall a breeze.

Fall fashion has been my absolute favorite so far. I love how different these looks are compared to my usual Southern California under the sun, summer looks. Which classic pieces have you been layering with this season? I'd love to know! Feel free to leave a comment down below.

Thank you so much for taking a moment of your day to stop by. Wishing you a lovely and successful week ahead,
