February Goals

Hello February! Today marks a brand new month. Are you ready? Each month, I like to sit down and set a list of goals for myself that I would like to accomplish. Last month, I didn't get a chance to share my list of goals for January or for the new year. However, the top of my 2017 goals list reads "try to be the best version of myself that I can be". I think it's very important to always try to be your best self, whether that means being kind to a stranger, drinking that maybe not so yummy green juice to keep your body healthy, and making sure you get your daily exercise. Making a conscious effort everyday to be your best self truly makes a world of a difference. This year as a whole, I'm focusing on creating healthy habits and staying on track with my health and fitness routine and lifestyle. Besides my goals for the new year, I like to create a to-do list at the beginning of the month to help me stay on track for a successful month ahead. This month I want to:

01. Write a new about me. For All Things Pretty hasn't had a major update in about a year now, so this month I really want to "spring clean" this little corner of the internet and create a new about me, sharing more details behind what For All Things Pretty truly stands for and where inspiration comes from. If you have any questions you'd like me to answer and address in my about me, feel free to send me an e-mail or a direct message on Insta, and keep a look out for that new bio.

02. Create an e-mail footer. This is one of those things that I have absolutely no idea how to do, but thankfully I have Google on my side. I also don't believe it will be too difficult to create an e-mail footer and I am positive it will make my e-mails look a bit more professional, which is what I'm trying to achieve. Let me know if you'd like me to share my findings and possibly a tutorial showing how to make an easy e-mail footer of your own.

03. Bake an edible cake. Have you heard of Pinterest fails? Last month, I attempted to make my first cake from scratch for my husband's birthday and it didn't go quite as I hoped it would. I tried to make a four layered white naked cake with homemade buttercream and fresh strawberries. It sure does sound yummy and my hubby requested it for his birthday. I went to the grocery store, purchased all my ingredients, and set out to make the best cake ever. You guys, it was so dense when we tried to cut into it, whoops! πŸ™ˆ  It was indeed a Pinterest fail. However, this month, I am set to bake another cake, but this time a sweet, delicious, and fluffy one that does not disappoint. That's where you come in, if you have a really great made from scratch cake recipe, please let me know because I'd LOVE to try it out.

04. Share a new blog topic. I've been thinking of sharing a new topic here on For All Things Pretty, so a new category is in order. How would you like me to share some blogging tips? Included under that category would be any and all essentials to create great blogging content, what I've learned in almost a year and a half of blogging, and maybe some Instagram tips and tricks that I use everyday. I'd love to share all my findings to help you out in your own social media/blogging journey. What do you say?

February is one of my favorite months, and not just because of all the yummy Valentine's Day treats. I'm looking forward to crossing off every single one of my goals this month, which seems pretty attainable right about now. What are some of your goals for this brand new month? I'd love to hear more about them in the comments below.

As always, thank you so much for taking a moment of your day to stop by. See you back here tomorrow for a brand new post! If you missed it, I'm blogging every day this week, so you can go check out the past two posts, here and here. Happy Wednesday!
