January 2016 Recap

Happy Friday! We are upon the last weekend of the month and I honestly can't believe it. Where did time go? We're already a month into 2016 and time sure did fly by. Today, I'm recapping the month of January. I really enjoy these types of posts because I like to look back and see what inspirations the month was filled with. I hope you enjoy!

I anxiously awaited the return of these pretty planners at Target last November. I started the year on a positive note with my planner in hand, ready for the year ahead. It's my second planner ever and I've found it truly is a life saver. It helps me be more organized and punctual with my deadlines.

Roses, my laptop, and a cute wallet are everyday essentials, right? My sweet husband replaced my wallet that was stolen from my car last December and I was so happy and thankful.

This cozy + warm winter ootd made it on the blog. I love running errands in comfy outfits and this was perfect, it kept me warm and was functional. Click here to see more.

I received this mug as a gift for Christmas and thought it was the perfect motto to keep me going through the new year. It's basically an inspiration and reminder to make the most of the present time.

Two of my favorite photos this month. White roses, hot tea, a pink beanie, and a handful of macarons are sure to brighten any cold and dreary winter day.

These fringe booties are everything and totally made me daydream of spring. I styled them appropriately for winter with a pair of light wash denim and a white knitted sweater but I honestly can't wait to take these out in spring and summer with shorts or a cute boho dress. The pantone color of the year 2016 was announced and to my surprise, two colors were chosen! Rose quartz and serenity are the official colors of the year and I am over the moon about it. They're both so gorgeous! I shared a few of my favorite stylish picks featuring rose quartz and serenity, click here to see the post.

Can we take a moment to truly appreciate the hemline of this dress? It's perfectly scalloped and I totally swooned over it when I saw it hanging in the store. I can't wait to wear this dress in the summer but until then I paired it with a vegan leather jacket and some ankle booties to make it appropriate for winter. Click here to see the full blogpost.

How gorgeous are the pink Luxie brushes? I fall in love with them every time I see them. These kabuki brushes are my favorite to use to apply make makeup, they blend easily and are absolutely perfect. I also partnered up with Luxie to bring you 20% off your total purchase, just use code "forallthingspretty" upon checkout at www.luxiebeauty.com. Happy shopping!

I kept it simple and classic in this ootd. I love that all of the pieces in this ensemble are basic and pair really well together. I added a sparkly necklace and a pair of black pumps to contribute the perfect feminine touch to the look. Click here to see more of this ootd.

This has to be my favorite flatly of the month. It's just so pretty and pink. I like to surround myself with pretty office supplies to keep my workspace inspired. I wrote about staying inspired and how I like to stay motivated, whether it be about blogging, going to the gym regularly, or eating healthy and staying on track. I recently found this book and oh my! It brought back so many memories. I used to love staying in and reading a good book in the summertime as a teen and this was my favorite book back then. I don't remember the storyline all that well but I know it's one of those romantic drama novels that I used to love and still love to read. I'm definitely going to open it up and start reading it this weekend.

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost. I think it's fun to take a second to look back on everything I worked on and was inspired by this month. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead. Here's to saying farewell to January 2016 and welcoming in February 2016 in just a few days. Cheers!

XO Karen
