Not Quite Summer, Not Yet Fall // OOTD + New Instagram Theme
With summertime coming to a close and fall inching its way to us ever so slowly, I realize that a good transitional outfit is necessary. What better transitional summer to fall look for a Southern California gal than a pair of distressed high rise denim shorts and an off the shoulder bell sleeved top? Top it off with a cute hat (seriously my favorite! I wore it in last weeks style post too!!) and you're instantly Southern California fall ready. Sorry not sorry that the temps here are still in the high 70s and this look is actually something I would wear out for a fall day, except maybe with some shoes on! Haha!!
Can I get serious for a second? Since I began blogging two years ago, I've always wanted to stay on top of each season, explicitly not shooting at the beach during fall and winter because well, it was fall and winter and it obviously wouldn't match my "theme" on Instagram. This year, I'm changing my mindset. I'm a whole hearted beach babe, who loves to spend all her spare time at the beach any time of the year! I enjoy feeling the sand between my toes, the breeze catching in my hair, and watching the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. Shawn and I go running at the beach quite often too! Winter runs are my favorite as it's always deserted. It feels like it's just us two and the ocean. It's quite nice actually!! As of this year, I've decided to embrace my beach loving nature and not be afraid to shoot at the beach during fall and winter. I'm not saying I'll be wearing jean shorts and off the shoulder tops into those cold 60ish temperature winter days, but I'm going to make an effort to share more of what I love, including the place that makes me the happiest!

This set of outfit photos shot in Seal Beach last weekend are some of my favorites that I've ever shared here on For All Things Pretty! I say we all share what makes us happy on Instagram & social media and forget about the "rules" every once in a while! As always, thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to read this post. See you back here on Friday for a brand new one. Happy Wednesday!!
