Put A Tie On It

Happy Friday! We've reached the point of the week where in a few hours, we can all unwind and celebrate the beginning of the weekend. After a fun filled but long week, I'm so excited to head out to the beach and spend some time with friends and loved ones. What are your plans for the weekend? Like I said in a recent post, I absolutely love weekends because it's the perfect chance to get full hair and makeup ready plus look for something really cute to wear. Usually, my inspiration for a look starts with one piece and trickles down from there. Today's look was completely styled around my tie front blouse. This is the first top I've ever owned that has a tie front on it and after wearing it for a full day, I've quickly come to enjoy this trend.

To be completely honest, I've never played around with the idea of wearing a tie front blouse until this one caught my eye. I always thought this type of blouse wouldn't be flattering to my figure because of all the extra fabric. To my surprise, I was totally wrong! This has to be one of the most flattering trends ever! The tie front detail on this blouse cinches up around the waist, completely emphasizing it and I mean that in a good way! Sometimes putting a little twist on it (literally) is the perfect spin to a regular top. I also love how versatile this is, just like a sleeveless blouse (but with a feminine flattering detail) this top can be worn many different ways. Today, I opted to wear it with a gray skirt, a pair of cute black lace-up shoes that I picked up at Target a couple of weeks ago, matched with the cutest black aviator sunnies from Perverse Sunglasses, and topped off with a denim jacket over my shoulders because as always, fall calls for layers. A clutch in my favorite color with a matching pink pom is the perfect pop of color to compliment all the neutrals in the rest of the look.

I've always loved trying out and discovering new trends, specially when they work out in my favor. After wearing this front tie blouse, I couldn't wait to go out and find other blouses and dresses that featured the same trend. I found some cute items and I'm sharing them down below so you can browse them too. What do you think about this tie front detail trend? I'm absolutely in love with it and think it's super flattering for the waist. Let me know all your thoughts down below.

As always, thank you so much for your continued support by taking a moment of your day to stop by. Wishing you the loveliest weekend ahead,
