Top 5 Favorite Tunic Tops
Happy Friday, friends! I'm finally back with one of my favorite types of posts, style posts! Yay! The weather this winter here in Southern California has been a little unforgiving when it comes to going out to get some outfit shots. My hubby actually helps me photograph my outfits and since he works long hours during the week, we only have weekend mornings to go out and shoot, specifically Sunday mornings. These past few weekends have been rainy and cold, hence no updated style looks but today I'm back with a super cute outfit that fits my Southern California lifestyle. This outfit is perfect for days when you need to run errands but still look cute, or would even be perfect for lunch with your bestie or your beau.
Don't knock it until you've tried it, basically means don't criticize something you haven't experienced. Are you ever guilty of not giving something a chance because you already "know" you won't like it? For the longest time, I didn't give tunics a chance. I thought they were strangely long, not quite short enough to be a blouse but not long enough to be a dress. Boy, was I wrong. The other day, Shawn and I were browsing through Nordstrom and came across this off the shoulder pale pink printed tunic and he insisted I try it on. As soon as I put it on, I was amazed at how absolutely flattering it was. The length of a tunic hits at a perfect point on the leg, making the legs look longer and leaner. Tell me who doesn't want that, am I right? I paired my tunic with a pair of blue denim and my brown ankle booties, but I'm so excited to use this blouse for spring and summer too. Can you imagine it with a pair of white shorts and some cute sandals? Yes, please! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find this exact top online (which is a little strange because I just bought it last weekend) but I was able to find a similar one in a floral print (linked down below).
In my obsession with tunics, I hopped online to see what other beauties I could find and of course, I just had to share them with you. Here are my top 5 favorite tunic tops that are super flattering and would even be perfect to transition into spring:
1. Nordstrom. Off the shoulder and floral print. The half-moon cut out at the back only makes this cuter.
2. Forever 21. A cuter version of your basic v-neck tee, with cut out accents and a high side slits.
3. Urban Outfitters. A three-quarter length sleeved top that features cold shoulder details and the perfect drape.
4. Target. A short sleeved denim look-a-like tee that would be perfect with a pair of white jeans.
5. Free People. The prettiest blush combo, this tunic is flowy, fun, and feminine!
I might getting a little ahead of myself, but is anyone else super excited for spring? All these tunic choices are only growing my excitement for sunny skies and warmer weather. Are you a fan of a flowy tunic? Let me know which one of my picks you like the most in the comments below.
As always, thank you so much for taking a moment of your day to stop by. See you back here on Monday for a special Valentine's Day post that you definitely won't want to miss. P.S. Hubby might be making an appearance.
Happy weekend, besties!
